We are hard at work this summer and expect to offer the following titles in 2012-2013.

First is the third full-length book of poetry by Laura Elrick, entitled Propagation, about which Lyn Hejinian has this to say:

Laura Elrick’s Propagation is incantatory, magical, mischievous, devilish. Its syntax is resistant, fluid, impeded; its lineation outwits givens, decommodifies ideas, modulates stances, transforms terms. The poems are moody—sullen, fanciful, sardonic, meditative, funny, mad. Propagation, in other words, invites multiple readings, but not only because one can voice its polyphonic perspective so variously; it does so, above all, because it is enchanting, wondrous. In the myth, Pandora’s box turned out to contain mostly sinister forces and the origins of human woe. Elrick’s Propagation acknowledges the presence of this sad panoply, but what emerges most forcefully from this book is the revolutionary power of hope, not as mere promise but as an articulate practice.

It is due this fall. Official publication date and other particularities are very shortly forthcoming.

We are also piecing together two books in translation, both likely to appear in the spring or early summer of 2013. These include the full rendition of Dolores Dorantes, by Dolores Dorantes, translated by Jen Hofer (who was deservedly awarded the Harold Morton Landon Translation Award from the Academy of American Poets in June). Next will be Jean-Marie Gleize’s Tarnac, un acte préparatoire, translated by Joshua Clover. Some notes on that project below.
